The authors of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla continue to carefully share details of their upcoming historical action movie. Now that the project has acquired a full-fledged gameplay demo, fans have the opportunity to personally evaluate certain aspects and mechanics of the game being created.
So, in correspondence with the audience on Twitter, Benoit Reacher, one of the leading authors of Valhalla, clarified one interesting point. In the overview trailer, users turned their attention to a scene showing the penetration of the blade into the victim, performed in an “X-ray” view in the manner of a similar effect from the actual parts of Mortal Kombat.
As it turned out, this is not a feature of editing, prepared specifically for the trailer, but a visual technique that will actually be used in the gameplay.
Another important point is related to the hidden blade. When asked whether it would be possible to use it as a full-fledged weapon, and not just a tool for instant kills, the developer replied with a meaningful emoticon and the statement that the authors will tell about the cult element of the Assassin’s Creed series a little later. It has already been clarified that the hidden blade in “Valhalla” will undergo certain changes compared to the previous parts, and the process of using it will offer more subtleties.
The release of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is scheduled for November 17 this year. The game is being created for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC.
