Hearthstone Announcements: New Expansion, Free Card Pack and Mercenary Mode

During BlizzConline’s opening ceremony, Blizzard revealed the future of Hearthstone. In a few weeks, the year of the Griffin will come, which promises gamblers a number of new products.

With the start of the Year of the Griffin, a new set of cards and a classic format will appear in Hearthstone, and later the “Forged in the Barrens” expansion will be released and the “Mercenaries” mode will appear.

New Items that Await Us in the Game

At the beginning of the year of the Griffin, the main set of cards will be released, which will replace the basic and classic sets. The set consists of 235 cards, both old and new. The kit will be free, and the developers plan to update it every year.
Together with the main set, the classic format will be available, which includes only the cards with which Hearthstone launched in 2014. The classic format will be supported along with the standard and free format – separate awards and ratings are promised.
Mercenaries of Hearthstone is a new single player and PvP mode that will be available during 2021. In it you need to collect characters from the Warcraft universe and develop them in tactical battles. Details will be revealed later.
The “Forged in the Barrens” expansion, inspired by a location from World of Warcraft, is coming soon. Inside – 135 fresh cards, new properties and mechanics, as well as 10 legendary mercenary creatures (one per class).

What's Included in Pre Order Package

You can already pre-order the maps of the new add-on. The megapack contains 85 card packs (including five special gold card packs), two random gold legendary cards, a card back, and the hero Hamuul Runetotem (new shaman shirt).

What’s more, you get bonuses for Hearthstone Battlegrounds, which will be valid until the next expansion is released.

This way you can order a cheaper pre-order package. It contains 60 cards, two random legendary cards, and a Hamuul Runetotem.
