HBO starts production The Last of Us Game Based Series

The Last of Us Screen

HBO has given the green light to full production after months of pre-production on The Last of Us.

The show is being created by the author of “Chernobyl” Craig Mazin, together with the developer of the original game Neil Druckmann. This is all supported by Naughty Dog, Sony TV and PlayStation.

HBO calls Mazin and Druckmann “visionaries with a unique vision.” It seems that in a few months the team managed to find the right concept, which seemed interesting to the channel representatives.

The series has no release date yet, but the authors intend not only to retell the events of the first part, but also potentially expand the story, as well as make more connections with the sequel.
