Sonic Origins: Classic Games With New Levels And Animations

SEGA has unveiled Sonic Origins – a collection of re-releases of classic games about the blue hedgehog. The publication includes:

Sonic the Hedgehog
Sonic the Hedgehog 2
Sonic the Hedgehog 3
Sonic & Knuckles
Sonic CD

Games will be adapted to modern monitors, that is, they will receive support for the 16:9 format, and will also be improved with modern gameplay features. For example, there will be bonus coins for completing tasks, a Museum mode, as well as beautiful animated videos, collectibles and achievements. During the game, you can switch between heart-warming classics in 4:3 format and a modern look.

The game has several types of publications. For pre-order, they give the Start Dash Pack, where they offer 100 bonus coins, an immediately open mode with a mirrored picture and a special background. In addition, there is a certain Premium Fun Pack, which adds complicated missions and very specific decorations: character animations for the main menu, camera control over the background in the main menu, and character animations for the music player.

The Date of Release

The game will be released on Sonic’s birthday, namely June 23rd. Hedgehog turns 31 this year. The game can be expected on PlayStation, Xbox, PC and Nintendo Switch platforms.
