The Lord of the Rings franchise continues to expand. One of the additions will be The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth – free-to-play RPG for cell phones from Electronic Arts.

Thanks to this feature, for example, Frodo and Elrond may find themselves on the same battlefield. Having received the power of the Ring, gamers are free to use it for both good and evil deeds.

The combat system of Heroes of Middle-earth is based on turn-based battles. It is necessary to assemble an ideal team from the extensive list of characters in “The Lord of the Rings” and “The Hobbit”. By developing relationships between companions, the user will unlock joint attacks and synergy bonuses.
The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth is being developed for iOS and Android. EA is not yet ready to announce a release date for the role-playing adventure. At the moment there is testing in the Philippines, and in the future the team will expand the number of countries where the “soft launch” will start.
