12 Minutes of Silver Pines Gameplay Released — A David Lynch-Inspired Horror Metroidvania

Silver Pines

IGN has shared 12 minutes of gameplay from Silver Pines, a survival horror metroidvania developed by Wych Elm and published by Team17.

Private detective Red Walker arrives in the half-forgotten town of Silver Pines to find missing musician Eddie Velvet. The footage opens with the protagonist coming to in a classic American diner — empty, no one around. A radio broadcast announces an evacuation due to a storm, with only a lone figure — seemingly a cop or ferryman — still present. The town's dark corners are home to monsters waiting for the unwary.

Progress requires exploring the settlement, unlocking doors, solving puzzles, and using whatever's at hand to fight or evade enemies and bosses. Inventory space is limited, in keeping with the developers' stated aim of honoring classic survival horror. The game is described as a love letter to the genre.

Silver Pines is planned for 2026 on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch.
