Aurogon Shanghai has shared preview access to an hour-long demo of Swords of Legends with press ahead of release. IGN has published an 8-minute preview, praising the game's pacing, setting, enemy design, and gameplay — which blends soulslike systems with classic action slasher mechanics.
Swords of Legends is the fourth entry and a soft reboot of the Chinese Gujian series. The singleplayer action RPG casts players as a guide of the dead, tasked with defeating bloodthirsty demons and leading lost souls to their final rest.
No release date has been announced. The game is in development for PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
