Rebel Wolves has shared an 8-minute gameplay clip from The Blood of Dawnwalker as part of IGN First. The footage covers one of several quests available in the prologue.
Coen — not yet afflicted by the vampire curse — explores underground ruins alongside a character named Lazar, searching for a way out. A Witcher-like sense highlights points of interest during exploration. The pair eventually reach a hall with a sarcophagus whose walls depict the story of an unknown warrior who fought vampires long ago. She was bitten in the heart during an attempted turning but stopped the transformation herself by igniting the surrounding area, likely dying alongside the vampire. A Forgotten Guardian awaits in the next room.
Viewer reaction has been mixed. Many commenters found the footage underwhelming — a slow walk through a dark crypt, some wall-gazing, and roughly 30 seconds of combat. Some have reconsidered pre-ordering, given the crowded fall release window.
The Blood of Dawnwalker launches September 3 on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series. Pre-ordering any edition includes the Sangor Wanderer armor set. Updated system requirements have been posted, with more precise figures coming closer to launch once optimization is complete.
