The creators of strategy game Age of Wonders 4 from Triumph Studios have unveiled the content roadmap through the second half of 2026. All planned expansions are included in the recently released third season pass.
Expansion Pass 3 offers the following content:
- Cosmic Wanderer — already available.
- Thrones of Blood — releases November 11.
- Rise from Ruin — releases Q1 2026 (January through March).
- Secrets of the Archmages — releases Q2 2026 (April through June).

Cosmic Wanderer
Yesterday's smaller expansion unlocks the special "Empire of Space" trait for Godir, plus new costumes and weapons necessary for journeying to the sacred reaches of the Astral Sea.
Thrones of Blood
As the name suggests, this major expansion focuses on vampire civilization, granting control over sunless lands with rivers of blood. The DLC includes:
- New ruler type — Ancient Vampire with unique skill tree. Can convert recruited heroes into vampires who share experience. Instead of a Wizard's Tower, this ruler builds a castle where slave lives fuel the darkest spells.
- Three new spell tomes — Blood Rite (draining enemies and empowering allies), Torment (turning enemy actions against themselves), and Crimson Dominion (transforming controlled armies into ancient undead).
- New story content with a fresh world where players discover vampire origins and uncover secrets of lost souls.
- Map additions — lands of darkness and roses, crimson sanctums, and rose-covered castles. Objects include Blood Glass and Heart of Thorns, the latter providing economic bonuses while shrouding surrounding territories in darkness.
- New wild creatures — thorn-bearing skeletons, rose knights, blood worms, and bats.
- Additional content — new UI theme, music tracks, banner symbols, and kingdom template with unique traits.
Rise from Ruin
Players venture into Withered Worlds to explore parched lands and restore a once-mighty kingdom. The expansion includes: nomad culture, new appearances, animals and magical grimoires, new conquerable and explorable locations, plus new challenges. The developers highlighted magical traditions that caused the kingdom's destruction. Players decide whether to revive them or consign them to oblivion.
Secrets of the Archmages
Conquerors uncover the cosmos's secrets by following the trail of legendary wizard-kings of Atla. The expansion includes: new worlds, storylines, magic books, and wild creatures of the Astral Sea.
Age of Wonders 4 is available on PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Through the evening of October 6, the game is 50% off during Steam's autumn sale.
