Triumph Studios has released Secrets of the Archmages, the final DLC of Age of Wonders 4's third season pass.
The expansion includes new story content — players can follow in the footsteps of Merlin to uncover the secrets behind the shattered Circle of Deogai, rescue the fallen archon Isariel in Abaddon, and journey through a fae portal to free Duat from the mists.
Six new spellbooks are included: Book of Renunciation (wards and protective magic for controlled units), Book of Gluttony (control over denizens of the gluttony realm), Book of Burning Passion (demonic rage for units and hellfire against enemies), Book of the Fae (fae power to support allies and weaken foes), Book of the Weaver (transforming your people and entangling enemies), and Book of the Cosmos (unit buffs, economic boosts, and summoning a powerful Cosmos avatar).
Other additions include world map expansions with misty isles, hidden enchantments, and new landmarks; a new playable Owlfolk form; new fauna including three mythical creatures, spider-women, a slain soul, and Sun and Moon Guardians; a new UI theme and banner symbols; a new mount (spider-woman); additional music; and a new realm template.
Alongside the DLC, a free update called The Sprite has also been released, bringing balance changes and other improvements.
Age of Wonders 4 is available on PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
