Age of Wonders 4 Receives Archon Prophecy DLC

As before, the fresh DLC offers developers an impressive amount of content. As the name suggests, the focus centers on celestial archons battling the corruption of Urrath. Key new features include:

• New culture — Architects, builders of monumental empires whose deities strengthen the economy and provide various bonuses.
• Two new opposing factions — celestial Elysians and sinister Ancients.
• New storylines connected to prophecies. At the beginning of gameplay, players receive a vision that can influence the ruler's goals. Prophecies can be interpreted differently, with rewards provided for their fulfillment.
• Two new story worlds that reveal the secrets of the archons:
  • Rings of Emnora— the secret citadel of the archons.
  • Cliffs of Sordünn — a coastline suffering from the horrors of the Dark Abyss.
• Four new tomes:
  • Tome of Virtue — strengthens fighters' faith and grants them power.
  • Tome of Prophecy — changes the course of battle with spells and omens.
  • Tome of the Revenant  — directs the dead to seek vengeance on the living.
  • Tome of Archon — summons celestial allies and elevates warriors.

• New class — Sacred Warriors serve as martyrs who grant additional powers to followers of good.
• New fauna:
  • Two celestial beasts — Royal Griffon and the more magnificent Celestial Griffon.
  • Three archon representatives and two spectral archons.
• Two mounts — chariot and griffon.
• New visual interface design.
• Map updates.
• Five new musical compositions.
• Eight new achievements.

Age of Wonders 4 is available on PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series. Until August 18th, as part of the 4X strategy festival on Steam, the game can be purchased with a 40% discount.
