Daybreak Game Company and Cold Iron Studios have announced Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2, a co-op third-person shooter launching this summer on PC and consoles.
The sequel expands on the original with squads of up to four Marines instead of three, deeper class mechanics, and more aggressive xenomorphs that flank, swarm, and force constant tactical adjustments. New enemy variants are promised alongside new weapons including electric batons, fire ammo, and electric ammo. Fights are described as faster and more chaotic.
The class system has been reworked with the addition of the Specialist — a fully customizable role that can mix and match abilities from other classes to suit team needs or personal playstyle.
At launch, the game includes story missions and several Horde mode maps, where teams fight off endless enemy waves for increasingly valuable rewards.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 is coming to PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
