Recent rumors have been confirmed: Ubisoft is indeed developing a port of Assassin’s Creed Shadows for Nintendo Switch 2. Hours ago, the developers dropped the debut trailer and announced the game will launch on Nintendo's flagship console on December 2.
The Switch 2 version includes all current content and cross-progression support via Ubisoft Connect. Alongside this, Ubisoft revealed two major updates coming before year's end:
Update #10 – October 28
- New "extended parkour" option removes barriers, enables jumps from any height, and improves ledge grabs.
- Animus event "Defiled Castles": Completed castles refill with anomalies and reward chests—up to five per season.
Update #11 – November 25
- New quest, "A Puzzlement" with a humorous tone: Naoe encounters past enemies seeking redemption.
- New skills: Naoe gets Yasuke's combat kick; Yasuke learns non-lethal stealth takedowns.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows is available on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, Ubisoft Store), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Amazon Luna.
