Team Asobi has created several additional levels for Astro Bot. Studio head Nicolas Doucet said that free add-ons will begin appearing in the game on October 17.
A new type of levels will be introduced in Astro Bot. In them, gamers will be able to test their platforming skills for speed. The most agile will have a chance to get into the leaderboard.
The first stage is called Building Speed. In it, Astro, together with the bulldog Barkster, will visit the upper levels of the metropolis. Literally: you will have to run on the roofs of buildings, jump on construction cranes, flying cars, and so on.
Astro Bot will be adding one level every week, with releases on Thursdays. There are five additional stages in total:
- October 17 — Building Speed.
- October 24 — Let it Slide.
- October 31 — Spring-loaded Run.
- November 7 — Helium Heights.
- November 14 — Rising Heat.
Each level will have two special bots hidden in it. Among them will be Eve from Stellar Blade and the Helldivers series' Helltrooper. According to media reports, the credits will mention unused franchises like Assassin's Creed and Rayman. It's possible that the new hero bots will be dressed as characters from these games.
