System Era Softworks has announced Glitchwalkers, the first expansion for the open-world survival game Astroneer. Players will be able to visit the Eolus system, where a certain threat lurks.
The protagonist will travel to a new planet born in a damaged star system. There, he will meet Lin, a cunning villain who is making harmful changes to the Space Explorers' training program (SEP). Users must cooperate with the head of technical services, Elysia, to stop Lin's plans from destroying the SEP from the inside.
Glitchwalkers will feature the largest and most complex planet in the game to date, Eolus. Explorers of distant planets can also expect new biomes, a technology tree, modules, gameplay mechanics, and more.
Astroneer Glitchwalkers will be released in Q4 2024 on PC (Steam), PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
