Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 7 Beta Was Delayed

Baldurs Gate 3 Patch 7

Larian Studios has delayed the start of the Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 7 closed beta testing. The developers apologized for the delay, citing issues with dice rolls not functioning properly.

The studio is working to resolve the problems and plans to conduct the closed beta testing later this week, with an exact date to be announced. To tide fans over during the wait, Larian has released highlights of the upcoming patch, which includes:

  • New endings for evil characters
  • A mod manager
  • Revamped split-screen gameplay
  • Over 1,000 fixes and improvements
  • Customizable difficulty mode will allow you to get enemies and special challenges from Valor mode, but not limit yourself to saves
  • Dialogs that involve multiple characters interacting will now be able to involve other player characters during co-op playthroughs
  • There are more voiced narrator comments and dialog options throughout the game

Despite the delay, the patch 7 closed beta will still be made available to randomly selected players who have registered on Baldur's Gate 3 Steam store page. The developers are also teasing additional future content, such as crossplay and a photo mode, as the game's post-launch support continues nearly a year after its initial release.
