Iwo Jima Returns — Reimagined

The biggest highlight of the update is the return of the iconic Iwo Jima map, beloved by fans since Battlefield 1942. Now reimagined for 2042, the island features a live volcano that adds dynamic danger to the battlefield. Players can launch amphibious assaults from boats, fight through trenches, and use fortified bunkers for cover — blending classic warfare with modern chaos.

Two New Guns Join the Arsenal

The update adds two powerful new weapons, each with a distinct role on the battlefield:

• KFS2000 — A bullpup-configured assault rifle known for its stable recoil and versatility. Ideal for mid-to-close range combat, it’s built for adaptability.
• Lynx — A semi-automatic sniper rifle previously seen in the Battlefield 6 beta. It excels at penetrating vehicles and destroying cover. Beta participants receive it for free; others must unlock it through gameplay.

Two New Attack Aircraft Join All-Out Warfare

Fresh from the Portal mode, the A-10 Warthog and SU-25TM Frogfoot now enter All-Out Warfare. These close-air support planes have been rebalanced to become true tank hunters, with enhanced targeting systems and devastating firepower. Both now feature:

• New intro cinematics
• Improved cockpit cameras
• Secondary weapons
• Refined handling and weapon balance

Free 60-Level Battle Pass with BF6 Rewards

From August 18 to October 7, players can claim a free 60-level Battle Pass themed around the legacy of the Battlefield series. Inspired by Battlefield 1, V, Bad Company 2, BF3, and BF4, the pass includes:

• Over 50 customization items
• 30 exclusive rewards for Battlefield 6
• Unlockable at levels 8,
• 19, 30, 40, 49, and 60

This is DICE’s way of rewarding loyal players and easing the transition to the next mainline title.

Community Events & Art Series Launch

• Best of Portal Event (Sept 2–30): Every 48 hours, a new playlist showcases top community-created modes from Portal. Participate to earn exclusive in-game rewards.
• Community Art Series: DICE is turning fan art into official in-game cards. The first collection, created by artist Pericote9, celebrates the spirit of Battlefield Friends — friendship, humor, and camaraderie. The cards are now live in-game.

Balance, Fixes & Polish

DICE overhauled key systems to improve gameplay stability and fairness:

Updated mod descriptions and UI indicators

NTW-50: Increased damage vs. light vehicles and gadgets

Fixed scope and mag bugs for AN-94, GOL Magnum, AK5C

Reintroduced the Arcom Tactical Muzzle Brake (now non-obstructive)

Resolved laser alignment issues on PP-2000 and MP443
