Electronic Arts shared statistics collected during testing — the recent beta became the largest by player count in BF history. To maintain gamer interest ahead of release, developers from Battlefield Studios announced several changes based on user feedback.
Key points from the team's post:
- Weapon recoil and single-shot characteristics will be revised to ensure more consistent and enjoyable gunplay, while providing clearer weapon range differentiation. The M87A1 shotgun will require more pellet hits for guaranteed kills. Time-to-Kill (TTK) and Time-to-Death will also be adjusted.
- Movement in BF6 received praise from gamers, but some players abused available mechanics. Therefore, momentum from horizontal movement (sliding) will transfer less into subsequent jumps. Endless hopping won't be possible either — each successive jump in a chain will launch progressively lower. Accuracy penalties during jumping and sliding will increase, and parachutes will have less initial acceleration, making them easier to control.
- During the beta, some players found ways to climb onto roofs and reach areas meant to be inaccessible. Developers will eliminate this possibility. They also reminded players about large maps — these weren't available during testing but will definitely appear in the full version. Upcoming testing through Battlefield Labs will trial two new maps: one set in Mirak Valley, the other a remake of the Battlefield 3 map "Operation Firestorm." These feature more expansive spaces and full vehicle complements.

The Battlefield 6 beta statistics paint this picture:
- Over 8 cumulative testing days, 420.1 million matches were played, totaling 92.4 million hours in BF6
- During this time, gamers eliminated nearly 5 billion enemies and healed 30.9 million allies
- Assault became the most popular class (32%), followed by Support (26%), Engineer (23%), and Recon trailing at (19%)
- 5.4 million players died in vehicle-related incidents
- Engineers destroyed 9.4 million tanks
- Helicopter destructions exceeded 9.6 million units, while aircraft reached 3.5 million
- Shotguns claimed 337.6 million players, while defibrillators took down 7.5 million
- Total in-game damage during the beta reached a cosmic $196.8 billion
