Yesterday, the controversial Fallout 4 celebrated its tenth anniversary, and to mark the occasion, developers at Bethesda released an equally controversial anniversary edition.
Similar to Skyrim: Anniversary Edition, the fresh Fallout 4 release includes all official content (the base game plus all 6 DLCs) and 150 Creation Club items of varying value — from simple reskins and new gear to small quests. Naturally, the upgrade is sold separately, and even Game of the Year Edition owners must pay if they want the "Bethesda-approved mods" bundle.
Predictably, players aren't thrilled with yet another update to the 10-year-old game, which once again broke already unstable mod builds. Speaking of which — since the next-gen patch released a year and a half ago, gamers have complained about numerous technical issues that remain unfixed. The fresh update supposedly addresses some of these problems, yet complaints continue pouring in.
Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition is available on all target platforms: PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store), PlayStation, and Xbox. Meanwhile, Bethesda is preparing a new version for Nintendo Switch 2, launching next year.
