Better Than Us Announced — Steal from the Rich Through Lies and Deception

Better Than Us

Last year, studio Little Bat Games made waves with the well-received visual novel Vampire Therapist, earning nominations for various awards. Now the team has unveiled another story-driven game — Better Than Us.

Climate Apocalypse and Floating Cities

It's the year 2200. The ultra-wealthy have driven the world to climate apocalypse and escaped to floating cities of their own construction. These fat cats monopolized AI development so machines serve only their interests. The protagonist infiltrates lavish receptions and steals the bourgeoisie's most valuable possessions — their expensive junk.

Lies Are Your Weapon

Your weapons aren't stealth and violence, but the ability to lie. While deceiving and manipulating, it's crucial not to get tangled in your own web of lies: one inconsistency or forgotten detail, and you'll be exposed.

Literary and Gaming Influences

Sources of inspiration for Better Than Us creators included the novel "The Count of Monte Cristo," Terry Pratchett's books, the series "Inventing Anna," games Thief: The Dark Project and Pentiment, plus five-star hotels in OPEC countries. To depict the consequences of monstrous social inequality, the team consulted with university historians.

Better Than Us releases in 2026 on PC (Steam).
