Black Myth: Wukong Devs Release New Patch with Performance Improvements

Black Myth Wukong

Developers from Chinese studio Game Science have rolled out a fresh update for their action RPG Black Myth: Wukong, primarily focused on boosting performance. The patch launches on PlayStation 5 today and will arrive on PC soon. No details have been shared about the Xbox version, with the patch notes only mentioning PC and PS5.

The developers issued a couple of warnings. On PC, user-installed mods may interfere with the patch’s installation, so they strongly recommend removing them. On PS5, the update weighs a hefty 93.5 GB due to differences in file storage methods, and if storage space is an issue, the devs suggest deleting and redownloading the entire game.

Highlighted improvements in the patch include:

  • Support for AMD FSR4 technology (PC).
  • Fixed an issue preventing frame generation with XeSS 2.0 (PC).
  • Enhanced global lighting on low graphics settings.
  • Adjusted performance mode to 60 Hz, reducing input lag and improving resolution (PS5).
  • Faster game loading times (PS5).
  • Sharper textures for select assets (PS5).
  • Improved CPU and rendering performance across multiple scenarios.
  • Optimized memory usage.
  • Enhanced motion blur quality.
  • Added Czech localization.

Black Myth: Wukong is available on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
