Blasphemous 2: Mea Culpa DLC Announcement

Blasphemous

Team17 and The Game Kitchen are preparing for a quick return to the lands of Custodia. The gamers' interest should be attracted by a large update for Blasphemous 2 and the Mea Culpa DLC with new areas, quests, and an alternative ending.

The DLC will take you through the forgotten paths of Custodia to recover Mea Culpa, the lost sword that the Penitent One wielded in the first Blasphemous. The expansion doesn't stop there. Users will also find the following fresh stuff:

  • 2 massive areas.
  • 2 new bosses.
  • New (but familiar) weapons.
  • 4 quests in which you need to assemble the sword and test its might in action.
  • 4 NPCs whose fates can be changed.
  • An alternative ending for the Penitent One.
  • And also more prayers, rosary beads, figurines, achievements, and tracks in the soundtrack.

All owners of Blasphemous 2 will receive a major True Torment update. Inside, the following content is hidden:

  • A New Game + mode with a bunch of tweaks like stronger enemies and lethal fall damage.
  • Expanded areas of the Choir of Thorns, Sunken Cathedral, and Basilica of Lost Faces. More challenges have been added there.
  • More jumper areas between already explored locations for convenient movement.
  • A new challenge in the Labyrinth of Tides.
  • Additional enemy types.
  • As well as several upgrades for the Penitent One, quality of life fixes, and new achievements.

The True Torment update and Blasphemous 2: Mea Culpa will be released on PC (Steam, GOG, EGS), PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch on the same day - October 31.
