Blizzard Announces Presentation Series for 35th Anniversary

Blizzard Plans

This year, Blizzard Entertainment celebrates its 35th anniversary. To mark the milestone, the company announced the Blizzard: The Next Chapter presentation series, where developers will share development plans for their flagship games.

Company Statement

According to Blizzard, for 35 years the company has been shaped by the worlds they create and the players who bring them to life. Players have fought in World of Warcraft, battled in Diablo, played cards in Hearthstone, and held the line in Overwatch. They've traveled this long journey together, and now a new chapter begins. Over the next several weeks, each Blizzard world will demonstrate what's next. These aren't just individual updates — they're part of what Blizzard strives for alongside players who've been there from the start.

Presentation Schedule:

  • World of Warcraft: State of Azeroth — January 29
  • Overwatch Spotlight — February 4
  • Hearthstone Spotlight — February 9
  • Diablo 30th Anniversary Spotlight — February 12

BlizzCon Returns

Additionally, this fall Blizzard will officially hold the first BlizzCon festival since 2023. The event is scheduled for September 12-13.
