Publisher Blowfish Studios and developer Permanent Way have announced the release date for action game Blood of Mehran — the title arrives on PC and consoles October 7th.
Permanent Way game director and studio head Emad Rahmani explained that the team drew inspiration from Persian tales and the atmosphere of "One Thousand and One Nights." Rahmani noted they've created a dynamic adventure with an emphasis on action, expressing eagerness for players to see how far Mehran will go in his quest for revenge.
Story and Combat
Blood of Mehran follows a legendary warrior who abandons his sword for peaceful existence, only to be forced back into combat by circumstances. Players can engage enemies using sword and shield combinations, dual blades, bows, or stealth tactics for silent eliminations.
The game world recreates the atmosphere of Ancient Mesopotamia, featuring sand dunes, city streets, and hidden corners where players can search for secrets and collectibles. The protagonist advances through a skill tree system, unlocking new abilities and enhancing combat effectiveness.
Gameplay Features
The developers promise a deep hack-and-slash system with varied combat options, mounted combat capabilities, and ranged weapon usage. The game emphasizes player choice in approach, allowing for multiple combat styles and strategic options.
Blood of Mehran's Persian-inspired adventure will be available on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), Xbox Series, and PlayStation 5.
