Paradox Interactive has announced Race Day, the first DLC for the original Cities: Skylines in almost three years. The expansion launches March 10, timed to the game's eleventh anniversary, and is being developed by Tantalus Media — the studio that took over support for the game from Colossal Order.
Race Day lets players convert city streets into circuits for car races, running events, or cycling competitions, as well as host parades along those same routes. A dedicated racing track can also be built separately.
The anniversary celebration runs throughout March across both games:
- March 5–9 — Free weekend for Cities: Skylines on Steam
- March 10 — Race Day launches alongside a patch adding road barriers and an Employment Info section, a new radio station, and two community packs: Iconic Brutalism and Renewed History
- March 18 — Cities: Skylines II gets an update, two radio stations, and two community packs: Office Evolution and City Stations
Cities: Skylines is available on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. The sequel remains PC-only for now.
