Sandfall Interactive has released update 1.4 for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, which introduces the ability to restart battles after a defeat. The patch notes also include other interesting improvements like frame generation technology support and separate volume sliders.

Here are the key highlights of the update (you can check out the full changelog here):

  • After defeat, a prompt now appears offering to restart the battle.
  • The Pictos menu now more clearly displays the Lumina point cost for each ability.
  • Added auto-play option for dialogue outside of cutscenes. You can activate this setting in the menu or directly during character conversations.
  • Added the ability to adjust game volume separately for exploration and combat.
  • Implemented DLSS and XeSS improvements: frame generation technology support and low latency mode (only on supported graphics cards).
  • Created icons for Lune's pigments to improve readability and accessibility for colorblind gamers.
  • Also fixed several achievements, polished some locations, corrected various bugs, and debugged the "Second Chance" Pictos and Lune's "Heat Exchange" skill.

At the end of the patch notes, the developers from Sandfall Interactive emphasized that the game will continue to receive updates. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is available on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series, including Game Pass.
