Independent Spanish studio Epictellers Entertainment announced that closed beta testing for Starfinder: Afterlight — the first computer RPG based on the Starfinder tabletop RPG — begins February 25.
Beta Access for Kickstarter Backers Only
Only Kickstarter backers who supported developers during crowdfunding will receive beta keys. Don't expect large scale, as the beta offers only about 45 minutes of first act content, including:
- Three pre-made protagonists
- Two companions, one voiced by Neil Newbon (Astarion from Baldur's Gate 3)
- Full voice acting for all branching dialogue
- Turn-based combat
- Inventory system
Early Access Q2 2026
Starfinder: Afterlight is planned for Steam early access in Q2 this year (April through June). At launch, the game will offer the first act with 10-15 hours of gameplay, while the full version is estimated at 40-60 hours.
