The Reddit user under the nickname Zrorro decided to check the compatibility of the removable panels for the PlayStation 5 with the newly -made PS5 Pro, which he got ahead of time. As it turned out, the old panels will not work to install on the new version of the console due to the different arrangement of the teeth. Later, this information was confirmed by Sony employees themselves.
"PS5 console covers are not compatible with PS5 Pro. However, players will be able to swap out different console covers for PS5 Pro when they become available in the future," a PlayStation representative said.

It is noteworthy that the lower panels of the PS5 SLIM are suitable for the Pro version, however, there is a critical difference of 1-2 inches on the upper panels. So far, Sony only claims that new panels especially for PS5 Pro can be purchased in the future, when they appear on the shelves.
