Cozy City Builder Town to City Leaves Early Access on May 26

Town To City

Kwalee and Galaxy Grove have announced that Town to City launches in full release on May 26, after entering Early Access in September 2025. A free demo is available on Steam.

The final version adds a tourism mechanic, new quests and professions, an additional city, improved resident animations, and various fixes and quality of life improvements.

The game's defining feature is grid-free building — players place houses, shops, roads, parks, and decorations without rigid layout constraints, whether building neat blocks or winding chaotic streets.

Customization runs deep: individual lamps, flower beds, and trees can be placed manually, buildings can be repainted, and a built-in photo mode turns settlements into postcards. As the city grows, residents form families, move between homes, and change the look of the town over time. Economy and trade systems, along with the ability to connect multiple cities, provide long-term depth.

Town to City holds 98% positive reviews on Steam. Players frequently describe it as one of the coziest games in recent memory — calm pace, pleasant music, and a visual style that makes simply watching the city feel rewarding. Many note losing track of time entirely.

The game is PC-exclusive via Steam.
