Alawar has announced that The Last Gas Station launches April 28. A free demo is available now.
The game is set in a world where electric vehicles have taken over. Players inherit a run-down gas station in the middle of nowhere — the previous owner vanished under mysterious circumstances, and it's up to the player to clean the place up, get it running, and figure out what happened.
Gameplay revolves around building up the business: clearing debris, stocking shelves, managing fuel supplies, setting prices, and serving customers at the register. Over time the neglected station grows into a proper roadside stop for travelers. Upgrades include new tools, additional services like tire inflation and vehicle maintenance, exterior customization, and store expansion.
There's a mystery running underneath the business sim loop. The story of the previous owner's disappearance unfolds gradually — and the game hints that leaving the building at night is not a great idea.
The player character is a red panda. The game is coming to PC via Steam.
