Crimson Desert Patch Adds Rideable Animals and Quality of Life Fixes

Crimson Desert has received a new update with a lengthy list of changes. The highlights include five new tameable mounts, faster load times, and several quality of life improvements.

The Most Notable Additions And Changes

  • 5 new rideable animals unlocked by meeting specific conditions — three legendary beasts (White Bear, Silver Fang, White Deer) and two boss-tier animals (Rock Tusked Warthog, Snow Ibex). Pet combat behavior has also been improved — companions now stay closer to the player.
  • Enhancement Coin added, allowing gear upgrades to level 4 without spending extra materials. Obtainable as a reward from main and faction quests.
  • Cook Immediately button added to the cooking menu, letting players prepare dishes without manually selecting ingredients first.
  • Improved movement controls for both character and horse — holding the sprint button once now gradually increases speed. The Flight skill has also been adjusted, including reduced stamina cost.

  • Inventory navigation improved for keyboard and mouse — items are now selected and used with left-click rather than hover.
  • Interactive key prompt added in front of locked doors.
  • Faster load times when teleporting via Abyss Nexus and when respawning after death.
  • Bug fixes, UI improvements, and stability and performance updates.

Full patch notes are available on the official site. Pearl Abyss CEO Heo Jin-young recently noted that Crimson Desert sales are approaching 5 million copies.
