Developers from Red Hook Studios have published an announcement teaser trailer for Inhuman Bondage, the second expansion for Darkest Dungeon 2. With the release of the DLC, a new playable hero with a full backstory will be added to the sequel.
The so-called Abomination is well known to players from the first part. At first glance, this harmless and exhausted character can transform into a mighty beast and inflict devastating damage on enemies, although his presence on the battlefield increases the stress of his party members. In addition to the Abomination, the add-on includes:
- A new mini-region in the form of catacombs, which can be visited during confessions and in the Kingdom mode.
- A new slimy class of enemies, found only in the catacombs.
- New unique artifacts and special items.
Darkest Dungeon 2 — Inhuman Bondage will be released before the end of this year, along with the new Kingdoms mode. Instead of traveling by stagecoach, a group of adventurers will personally go to explore the location in the manner of the first Darkest Dungeon. In total, three modules are planned for the mode — one per faction. The modules will be released gradually, and the first of them will be The Hunger of the Beast Clan about beastmen.
