Red Hook Studios has set a release date for the Inhuman Bondage DLC and Kingdom mode for Darkest Dungeon 2, but only for PC — January 27. Console versions will follow later.

The second DLC for the roguelike will offer a small region called Catacombs - an extremely dangerous area with very pleasant rewards. There, players will encounter a new class of enemies and find fresh items. The DLC will also feature a playable hero, the Abomination, with unique mechanics, trinkets, a fully voiced backstory, and more.

Simultaneously with Inhuman Bondage, the free Kingdoms mode will be released. In it, you will have to defend the state from the attack of completely new enemies. The mode consists of three thematic modules, the first of which will be Hunger of the Beast Clan. The protagonists will be tasked with repelling the onslaught of voracious beastmen.

The devs say they've completely reimagined DD2's structure, which led to the creation of Kingdoms. This mode overhauls almost every system in the game. Players will travel from inn to inn across the kingdom's map, racing to complete a chain of quests before time runs out. They'll have to fight off threats, complete contracts, upgrade and protect inns. Players also need to let their heroes rest by regularly switching up their party lineup.

FYI: Darkest Dungeon 2 is currently available on PC (Steam, EGS), PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
