One of the main highlights at THQ Nordic Digital Showcase 2025 was the announcement of Darksiders 4. After releasing Chronos: Before the Ashes and two Remnant games, Gunfire Games is returning to the Darksiders series.
The third installment launched in 2018 and received mixed reviews. However, the 2019 spin-off Darksiders Genesis, created by Airship Syndicate, proved much more successful, introducing a new character — a Horseman named Strife. Previously, players could control War, Death, and Fury.
THQ Nordic and Gunfire had been dropping hints about a possible continuation last year. Now there's no doubt: the released teaser trailer shows that all four Horsemen will unite in the new installment — for the first time in the series' history. As confirmed by the game's Steam page, the game will feature co-op gameplay, which was previously absent from Darksiders.
