The developers of the team-based horror survival game Dead by Daylight from Behaviour Interactive have released a fresh expansion called Doomed Course. In this update, gamers are invited to experience a new chapter featuring a new killer and survivor, along with two exclusive cosmetic items.
This time, the killer chasing the survivors will be Portia Maye, known as The Houndmaster. Her key feature is a loyal dog that accompanies the killer during the hunt. The animal is capable of tracking, pursuing, and grabbing survivors. If the dog catches and grabs a survivor, it will start dragging its victim towards The Houndmaster. The survivor can escape by stunning the dog either themselves or with the help of a teammate. If they manage to flee without being injured by The Houndmaster, they will be affected by the "Hindered" status effect.

On the side of the survivors is the new heroine Taurie Cain, a trainee of the Black Talon who wields magic. Taurie can perform a ritual to inflict the "Hindered" effect on herself until the end of the match, but in exchange, all survivors will see the killer's aura when they disturb a crow. Players can try out the fresh content on the upcoming map "The Ormond Lake Mine," which is not part of the DLC but is available for testing.
In addition to the DLC, the developers presented a set of eight alternative skins for characters inspired by the works of famous manga artist Junji Ito. This cosmetic collection will be available to gamers starting January 7.
