Veterans from Telltale Games at AdHoc Studio have launched their debut project: Dispatch, a narrative-driven superhero action-strategy game where players direct a team of reformed super villains during high-stakes missions.
Styled like an animated series, the game unfolds across multiple episodes to maintain its episodic format. The release schedule is as follows:
- Episodes 1 and 2: Now available.
- Episodes 3 and 4: October 29.
- Episodes 5 and 6: November 5.
- Episodes 7 and 8: November 12.
You play as superhero Robert Robertson, better known as Mecha-Man. During a brutal clash with his arch-nemesis, his piloted mech suit is destroyed, stripping him of his powers and forcing a career pivot. He lands a gig as a dispatcher, overseeing a ragtag crew of ex-supervillains.
Beyond the strategic mission management, Robertson navigates office drudgery with nonlinear relationship-building among a colorful cast. Player choices carry long-term consequences through the story. The ultimate goal? Rebuild the mech suit, reclaim hero status, and exact revenge.
Dispatch is available on PC (Steam) and PlayStation 5. Before buying on Valve's storefront, check out the demo, which boasts over 3,000 reviews and an "Overwhelmingly Positive" rating of 98%.
