French studio DON'T NOD, known for Life is Strange, has announced that Aphelion launches April 28 on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series. The game will also be available on Game Pass from day one.
The story takes place on Persephone — a fictional ninth planet of the Solar System — where a research expedition called Hope-01 crash-lands in 2060 while searching for a new home for humanity.
Players follow two astronauts, Ariane and Thomas, who survive the crash but are separated. The goal: find each other, uncover the cause of the crash, and escape. Threats come from both the planet's harsh climate and a hostile alien life form.
Pricing is $29.99 on PC and $34.99 on consoles. A physical PlayStation 5 edition arrives July 2.
