"Today's update is as big as it gets," Valve began the post about the release of the Dota 2 update with these words. The game received a new hero, the 126th, as well as the final chapter of "Crownfall".
In Act Four, the resurrected Shen will return to Skywrath to overthrow her usurping sister, Imperia. She will be joined by all the characters encountered along the way, including Axa, Crystal Maiden, and Kez, the head of the Kazurai order of flightless bird warriors. The latter has just joined the roster of Dota 2 heroes.
Valve said: "In this act, you'll encounter a vast map featuring three narrative branches, additional quests, mini-games, and the chance to not only stop the Empire but also unlock new styles for Arcana items for Skywrath Mage and Vengeful Spirit. Prepare for a treasure hunt through the kingdom on your way to the palace."
Kez joins the battle in Dota 2 as a melee hero with agility as his main attribute, featuring tags for "Control," "Escape," and "Foundation." A master of martial arts, he can wield multiple weapons, allowing his fighting style to change dynamically. He has access to a solid arsenal of eight abilities at any moment.
When using his katana, Kez can perform slashes that slightly slow enemies, grapple towards them with a hook, and unleash a flurry of strikes after a brief preparation. His passive skill allows his attacks and abilities to stack, dealing a portion of attack damage.
With dual blades, Kez can instantly engage enemies, delivering an attack that repeats after a short delay. He can also throw sais to silence targets and mark heroes, slowing them down and preventing dodges. His ultimate releases smoke, rendering him temporarily invisible. All four chapters of "Crownfall" will be accessible until January 15. Note that Valve released another hero, Ringmaster, in August.
