Dragon Age: The Veilguard Introduces Mass Effect Armor in First Patch

Dragon Age Mass Effect

The first patch has arrived for Dragon Age: The Veilguard. BioWare took this opportunity to celebrate N7 Day, the unofficial day for the Mass Effect series. Additionally, the team addressed a multitude of bugs and implemented quality-of-life improvements.

To celebrate the holiday, the developers prepared armor inspired by Mass Effect. You can find it in a chest at the Lighthouse after completing Harding's quest "The Singing Blade." The studio emphasized that this new item is purely cosmetic. Below are some of the most interesting points from the patch notes. The full list of changes is available here.

Fixes for PC only

  • An issue has been fixed where DLSS settings could be inactive on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series graphics cards.
  • The XeSS upscaler has been updated to version 1.3.1.
  • The cause of certain crashes has also been resolved.

Fixes for all platforms

  • A bug that caused skill points for companions to reset has been removed.
  • Companion approval notifications will now stay on the screen longer.
  • Arrows have been added to Harding's quiver.
  • The friendly banter between Taash and Harding should no longer repeat endlessly.
  • Potential issues that could occur when players used fast travel during missions have been fixed.
  • The number of instances where assets suddenly appear at a distance has been reduced.
  • Changing equipment no longer disables the speech sound effect when wearing a helmet.
  • Collisions have been added to certain assets that previously lacked them.
  • Balance adjustments have been made for some battles and skills.
  • Crashes that could block progress in certain quests have been eliminated.
  • NPC necks should no longer experience sudden and rapid growth.
  • Long hair has been taught to interact more appropriately with certain types of armor.
