Dying Light 2 Update 1.28 Adds The Breach — A User Content Platform

Dying Light2 Stay Human

Techland has released update 1.28 for Dying Light 2: Stay Human, headlined by The Breach mode, which turns the game into a full platform for user-generated content. Players can now create custom maps and mods, browse community creations, and earn unique rewards for engaging with them.

Two new characters — Tolga and Fatih — appear in the hub after completing the prologue and hand out missions tied to user content. Mod.io integration has been improved, curated content collections added, and co-op support for custom maps via direct invite is now available. The most demanding community maps won't be available on last-gen consoles for now.

The prologue has also been reworked. It's shorter, cutscene lighting has been improved, yellow markers removed, and the color palette adjusted. The starting zone has fewer dangerous infected, Volatiles are slower to notice the player and less aggressive in the early hours, and infected now have a chance to drop rare loot.

The UI has received a notable overhaul — the in-game store now uses a tab system for easier navigation, a new discount display shows sale indicators and countdown timers, and various interface elements including control buttons and navigation tabs have been redesigned for consistency across all menus. An outfit quick-switch section has been added to the inventory.

The patch also fixes co-op issues, graphical glitches, audio problems, cutscene freezes, and other technical bugs.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human is available on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), Xbox, and PlayStation.
