Players praise the solid gameplay foundation but point to balance issues, limited launch content, and the absence of any localization — including German, the developers' own language. The $10/€10 price tag has been well received, and a 20% launch discount runs until June 16.
Fatekeeper is a first-person fantasy action RPG in the spirit of Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. Players control a heavily armored warrior traveling through ruins and fighting monsters alongside a talking rat. The skill tree has been highlighted as a standout, while common criticisms include dagger weapons feeling underpowered, magic feeling largely useless beyond the pull ability, and shadow settings causing visual issues on lower presets.
The game is expected to remain in Early Access for approximately 18 months.
