The major Rogue Protocol update for FBC: Firebreak, originally planned for November 2025 release, has finally launched. It added a roguelite mode, weapon inspect animations, gameplay improvements, and more to the game.
Key Highlights:
- Endless Shift Mode — Operatives venture into abandoned Oldest House zones swarming with Hiss. During shifts, players fend off constantly escalating enemy waves while earning new in-game currency. Between enemy surges, funds can be spent on upgrades and equipment. At shift's end, the game awards cosmetic items based on eliminated opponent counts, plus more upgrades for future runs. Playable with friends in parties or strangers through matchmaking.
- Weapon Inspect Animations — Now available for all guns. Activate by clicking the reload button when the magazine is already full.
- Mission Board Improvements — Added additional information for available missions and updated visual elements on the board for easier planning.
- Updated Grenade Icons — Refreshed images for grenades introduced in the Breakout update.
- New Cosmetics — Added fresh cosmetic items, sprays, and exotic helmets.
- Reduced Trace Currency Grind — Less grinding required to obtain Trace currency.
- Stability and Bug Fixes — Improved FBC: Firebreak stability and fixed numerous errors.
- Double XP Event — All earned experience points will be doubled from January 23-26.
Play FBC: Firebreak on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The project is also available in Game Pass and PlayStation Plus subscriptions.
