Red Hook Studios has set the release date for the third and final update to "Kingdom" mode in Darkest Dungeon 2. There's a catch though — the add-on will hit PC first, with consoles getting it later.
The update is called Curse of the Court and introduces a new faction to the game — the Bloodsuckers. Vampires are making their return to the title after debuting in the Crimson Court expansion for the original Darkest Dungeon. On top of that, the update will feature three new maps, a fresh storyline, more achievements, and a unique Curse mechanic that affects gameplay.
Unlike the main campaign, "Kingdom" mode features a slightly reimagined structure for the second part of the series — players need to travel the world by wagon, complete side quests, and battle unique enemies.
The Curse of the Court update arrives on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG) and Mac computers on August 28th. Darkest Dungeon 2 is also available on PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
In Q4 2025, the roguelike will get a physical release. Partnering with Red Hook Studios, Skybound Games will roll out Darkest Dungeon 2: Anniversary Edition for PS5 and Switch. The package includes a steelbook, battle diorama, cardboard carriage model, playing card deck, soundtrack download code, and DLC (The Binding Blade, The Inhuman Bondage, and The Infernal Supporter Pack).
