First Highguard Patch Adds More Graphics Settings and Improves Stability

Highguard

On release day, raid shooter Highguard was hit with an avalanche of criticism. Wildlight Entertainment didn't despair and rolled out the first patch aimed at fixing crashes and adding more settings.

Update 1.0.4 Highlights

  • On all platforms, crouch activation can be configured as button press or hold. Same applies to aiming, but PC only.
  • Consoles now allow field of view (FoV) adjustment.
  • Low shadow and reflection settings became even less demanding on device resources. When choosing low shadow quality, volumetric fog also disables.
  • PC received "Draw Distance" option.
  • Separate toggles appeared for several settings like chromatic aberration.
  • DLSS preset selection now available. More options with descriptions coming later. Global illumination can be completely disabled.
  • Laptops should no longer have the hard 60 fps cap that could occur due to an engine error.
  • Fixed a set of errors causing crashes on both PC and consoles. According to the team, Highguard now crashes 90% less frequently.
