Datadyne has released an extended 3-minute gameplay trailer for Forge of the Fae, a pixel RPG inspired by classic SNES-era JRPGs. The footage showcases turn-based battles against various monsters and the game's animation quality.
The game is set in a fantasy world blending Irish folklore with the Industrial Revolution. Young inventor Fiora investigates a series of mysterious disappearances while trying to stop a large resource extraction company amid escalating conflict between humans and faeries. When a miners' strike turns violent and the mining company brings in mercenaries, people start vanishing one by one.
A free demo is available on Steam. Forge of the Fae launches in 2027 on PC (Steam), PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
