Forgotlings Hand-Drawn Adventure Coming February 17 with Demo Available

Forgotlings

Publisher Hitcents and studio Throughline Games announced that story-driven 2D adventure Forgotlings will launch February 17. The game was supposed to appear in summer 2025, then release was postponed to fall, but the project disappeared from radars for a long time. Now developers have returned with a concrete date.

Cinematic Side-Scroller in Forgotten World

Forgotlings is a cinematic side-scroller about the world of forgotten things. Old toys, lost letters, and lonely socks gain consciousness here and form their own civilization.

Fig the Mannequin's Journey

Players assume the role of Fig — a forgotten mannequin who becomes captain of living ship named Flight. He must journey through skies above ruined cities, settle conflicts, and unite five tribes on the eve of approaching catastrophe.

Choice-Driven Gameplay

Progression revolves around choice. Problems can be solved with blade, words, or over a match of INA — a tactical board game developers created inspired by chess and Go. Combat allows both frontal attacks and stealth approaches, with a separate story mode for those who came exclusively for narrative.

Hand-Drawn Animation

Developers state all animations are hand-drawn — they wanted to achieve the feeling of an animated cartoon come to life. Music for the project was recorded by Theatre of Voices ensemble.

Forgotlings 4

Sequel to Forgotton Anne

According to creators, the project is the result of five years' development and logical continuation of Forgotton Anne ideas — the studio's previous work warmly received by players and critics.

PC Launch, Consoles Later

Enter the world of forgotten things in Forgotlings exclusively on PC via Steam. Console versions are in the studio's plans but promised for later release. Developers also prepared a project demo.
