Developer 11 bit studios has announced the release date for Frostpunk 2's first DLC—Fractured Utopias launches December 8, expanding the Utopia Builder mode with substantial new content.
Factions Take Center Stage
According to the developers, the expansion gives Utopia Builder mode clearer structure by elevating the importance of factions. Each faction has its own vision of the "perfect society" and comes with a "utopia tree." As you play, you'll win favor with different factions to unlock nodes on these trees, granting access to new laws, buildings, and more.

The devs highlighted these key additions:
- New map
- 2 premium stories: "The Fatalists" and "The Plague"
- 8 faction utopias, each with distinctive mechanics, tools, and endings
- 8 new district centers—one per faction
- 8 faction-specific housing district variants
- 12 unique unlocks per faction, including laws, abilities, and other perks
- 100+ new story events
Frostpunk 2 is available on PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
