Microsoft's gaming division is releasing Gears of War: Reloaded — a new remaster of the original Gears of War that will arrive not only on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store) and Xbox Series, but also on PlayStation 5.
Key features of the remaster include:
- Enhanced resolution up to 4K
- 4K assets and improved textures
- Enhanced visual effects
- Improved post-processing
- Enhanced shadows and reflections
- Ultrawide resolution support with improved anti-aliasing
- No loading screens in the campaign
- 60 frames per second in the story campaign
- 120 frames per second in multiplayer
- Support for HDR, VRR, Dolby Vision, 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos, and 7.1.4 3D Spatial Audio
Gears of War: Reloaded will be available on Game Pass at launch. Additionally, players who purchased Gears of War: Ultimate Edition before May 5, 2025, will receive the remaster for free.
