God of War Laufey Launches February 16, 2027

The game marks the first entry in the series with a protagonist other than Kratos. Players take on the role of Faye — Kratos's wife who dies at the start of God of War 2018 — who finds herself awakening in a realm where gods from various mythologies go after death. She soon realizes that her carefully laid plans to protect Kratos and Atreus are now in jeopardy. Over 20 minutes of gameplay was shown during the June announcement.

Creative director Cory Barlog has also confirmed that a follow-up is already planned — a direct continuation of Laufey's story with Kratos returning as the protagonist.
