Have you already scoured Hades 2 from top to bottom? Then get ready for a fresh batch of content! Supergiant Games has rolled out the first major patch for the roguelike called The Olympic Update, which includes new characters, weapons, decorations, music, and much, much more.
There are so many changes in the patch notes that the entry is more like a dissertation. Therefore, we have collected only the most interesting ones below:
- Players will be able to visit a new area with new enemies.
- The Black Armor, the last of the available Night Weapons, has appeared at the well.
- A couple of new allies who will happily give Melina their gifts. They also have their own souvenirs.
- The plot of Hades 2 has expanded - hours of new dialogues have been added (almost 2,500 lines!).
- The heroine can befriend two additional pets - a raven and a hound.
- A lot of decorations have been prepared for the Crossroads.
- Changes have been made to already familiar weapons and their aspects. For example, the special attack of the Moon Axe no longer blocks enemy attacks.
- When moving from one area to another, movement on the map is now shown. A similar demonstration was in the first Hades.
- The dash has become faster and more responsive.
- More spells have been added to the enchantment cauldron.
- Some cards from the Altar have been reworked. The cost for upgrading some has changed.
- Old gifts from gods and other allies have been edited, and new ones have been added.
- The behavior of some opponents has been changed. For example, Eris will no longer stand in flames.
- The portraits of Charon, Echo, Circe, Icarus and other characters have been updated. The fish now have icons.
- A set of fresh compositions has been introduced in Hades 2.
- New options have appeared in the settings. For example, automatic sprint and aiming assistance adjustment for targeted skills.
- The game has received a native version for Mac computers.
- The specialists have also improved the menu and interface, rooted out bugs and made a number of smaller edits. For example, Skelemeus can now withstand more hits before crumbling.
Hades 2 is available on Steam and the Epic Games Store. The game launched in early access in May, and is expected to continue until at least the end of 2024.
